BOEING CHOSEN

Seattle-based Boeing has been chosen to partner Israel Aircraft Industries in manufacture of the Arrow anti-missile missile, according to a report in the daily Ha�aretz. Government-owned IAI wanted to take on a U.S. partner in the project, which had U.S. funding in the development stage, in order to facilitiate sales of the system to third countries. The first Arrow battery is due to be operational in a few months, after the system has successfully passed high-altitude interception tests of simulated enemy missiles.
